An All-Star Summer

At the end of Spring softball, Kenadie decided to try out for the Summer 8-U All-Star team and made it. We spent a lot of time at the ballpark for practices 3-4 times a week, at 5 different tournaments on the weekends and it was a lot of fun! She improved a lot over the Summer and I'm so proud of how far she has come in just a few short months. I kept score for all of her games, it's really weird for me to be the one in the stands and not on the field playing and I can't believe I have a child old enough to play Summer ball. I'm excited to watch her play and grow more in the coming years!

Running to 1st, did she make it? Yep!

Running to 1st, again.

Shaking hands with a team from Grantsville, who they beat to make it to the championship game in their last tournament!

Her team ended up taking second place in the tournament, they lost to a polynesian team from Rose Park that is really, really good. (An 8 year old girl hit a ball so far it landed just a few feet in front of the outfield fence, and this is a field ADULTS play on! What do they feed those kids?! ;) ) Here's Kenadie proudly holding her second place trophy.

The Slammers. Coaches from L to R: Jodilyn, Gilbert and Lori
Back row girls from L to R: Via, JaCee (Kenadie's 2nd cousin), Shambre, Jessica and Julana. Front row girls from L to R: Libbie, Caroline, Ariana, Livi and Sophie. Kenadie is on the ground in front. :-)
