2nd Grade Program

Kenadie's class had been writing and illustrating some stories, so her teacher, Mrs. Traeden, decided to have the parents come in to hear their child read their stories to them. So Chris got the afternoon off and we went to the school to be with Kenadie and then afterwards they sang us some very entertaining songs, some of which I remember from when I was in Elementary school. I guess some classics never die, right?! ;)

Kenadie did such a great job writing and illustrating. The story she read to us is called "Pirates Attack", which makes me wonder if we had been watching "Pirates of the Carribean" around that time...

Singing songs with her class.

The librarian, Mrs. Zesiger, brought in some eggs that hatched into baby chicks and they were so cute! She let me pet them after all the kids left and they were so soft I just wanted to pick them up and snuggle them! But, they were only a day or so old and weren't really interested in being touched.

We are really going to miss Mrs. Traeden, especially since she is retiring after this year. But, we are lucky because she lives in our ward, so we will atleast get to see her and chat with her every once in awhile!
