Happy Birthday Kenadie!

Wow, I can't believe Kenadie is 7 years old! I feel like I gave birth to her, blinked, and all of a sudden here we are, seven years later! She has been such a joy to have around! She is so patient, loving, kind, obedient and is such a little sweetheart! We feel so blessed to have her as our daughter! She is doing very well in school, she reads on a 2nd-3rd grade level, likes math (she must take after Chris) and of course loves recess! She loves to play softball and soccer and is enjoying her first year on Showteam at her dance studio. She also loves to swim and play piano (thanks to Melissa!).

At school on your birthday, you get to bring a poster in to display for a week that tells about you. Being as busy as I have been, I didn't remember until Wednesday, but was able to get it done in time for school on Friday.
Being born around Valentine's Day she will most likely have a party on her birthday quite a few times and this year that was the case. While I was working on Kenadie's poster, my mom covered a shoebox in paper and then I cut out pink and red hearts with my Cricut for Kenadie to use to decorate her box after she got home from school. Somehow I forgot to get a picture of the finished product, but it turned out cute! She had a lot to take to school on Friday: the poster, her Valentine box, her backpack and the treats she took to celebrate her birthday. I helped in her class party and it was fun to get to spend part of the day with her at school.
My mom and I took her to Cold Stone for a free birthday ice cream after school. It was delish!

We took her to Applebee's for dinner, she had gotten a gift certificate for a free meal from her teacher for getting straight 4's on her report card. So, we took Kamryn to my parents house and had a date night out with Kenadie. She ordered mac 'n cheese and got a hot fudge sundae from the staff who sang "Happy Birthday" to her.

After dinner we picked up Kam and went to my brother's hockey game and then home to bed! It was a long, but fun day!

Kenadie decided she wanted to have her birthday party at Kangaroo Zoo, so we invited some of her school friends and our family to join us. I think in all there was about 25 people there! I guess it's a good thing there was plenty of room to run around! The kids played for 90 minutes and then we got a private room for cake and presents.

After that we got a visit from a furry friend, Coco the Kangaroo!

Oh, and just because it's Valentine's Day, I have to add this last part even though it's completely unrelated to Kenadie's birthday. I told Chris that if he was going to spend money and buy me flowers, he may as well make them edible! He listened! I was so excited I had to take a picture right away, especially since chocolate covered strawberries don't last long in this house! :-)

Sounds like a lot of fun! She's quite the party animal for only 7 years old! You've had a lot on your plate, so it's very understandable that you would forget the poster! She looks like she's very happy with all of it!
The strawberries look awesome! They wouldn't have lasted long enough for a picture in my house!

Man, looking at the pictures of the cake and your nummy treat from Chris makes me hungry! I'm glad Kenadie had a great birthday.

I'm glad Kenadie had fun for her birthday.

I think that is going to be a new Valentine's Tradition now that I know where to get them. Thanks for posting that.
