When we FINALLY returned home after a long day of commuting and traffic due to the accident and shutdown of I-15, we found an envelope on our door. According to the City of Woods Cross, our yard is one of the most beautiful in the city and therefore we are one of twelve recipients of the annual Mayor's Yard Beautification Award. It is nice to know that someone recognizes all of our hard work, even though we were a little embarrassed because we haven't weeded in about a week and a half and Chris needs to mow the lawn!
We were invited to attend the City Council meeting on August 19 to be honored and to accept an award. Chris's sister, Kellie, also got the award this year and actually, if it wasn't for her, our yard wouldn't look as good as it does! Thanks Kell!
