For those of you who don't know, we are in Washington State right now visiting my family. I didn't want to make an announcement over the internet that we were leaving, but we DO have neighbors watching the house, and an alarm system.
We flew standby on the way to Seattle, but had to stop in San Diego first and we got stuck there when our flight from San Diego to Seattle was full. So, we had to pay $2100 for 7 emergency plane tickets (all on my credit card), run back to baggage claim to get my brother and sister-in-law's luggage, check in at a different terminal, get through security and run to our gate just in time to board the plane to Seattle. We've been watching our flight coming home and it looks like we will be fine to make it from Seattle to Long Beach, but from Long Beach to Salt Lake there are only 10 seats available and we might get stuck...AGAIN!!!
Pray for us. We're going to need it.

That is SO not fun!!! Did you think about renting a VAN? That would be so much cheaper! Good luck coming home....I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
