Amazing Experience

We went to President Hinckley's viewing yesterday and it was an experience I will never forget. We waited for just over 3 hours, but somehow the time seemed to pass quickly. There were a lot of children there (including ours) and despite signs everywhere asking for reverence, it was a bit noisy. Once we entered the hall of the prophets though, all children were somehow very quiet and well-behaved. The room had a reverent silence about it, a quietness that was so filled with the spirit that it wasn't actually quiet. It's hard to describe and unless you were there to experience it, you might not understand it. I have never in my life felt the spirit so strong as I did in that room. President Hinckley looked very peaceful and I was happy for him that he could finally be free from the ailments of this life and be with his sweet wife again, but sad for us left here on this earth without his presence. He was a great man and a wonderful example to me.
