We had a good Halloween night. I stayed home and handed out candy for the first time in our 7 year marriage and Chris took the girls up the street for a little trick or treating. My brother brought our nephews by and when it got later we went to visit the rest of our family. My almost 11 year old nephew had a really scary costume and decided to stand on our porch for awhile to scare anyone who came. He didn't jump out at them, just stood there (he had an ugly mask on) and didn't move until someone asked me about him. One time I had him answer the door to hand out candy because I was busy and a little girl was so scared of him she started crying and wouldn't come to the door. So I took some candy out to her because I felt bad.
Chris wanted to watch a horror flick and I told him that I absolutely would not do it! I went to all the scary movies when I was in high school (Scream 1 and 2, Halloween H2O, I Know What You Did Last Summer) and I still have nightmares about them! I have always been terrified of the dark so I don't know what I was thinking. Oh wait, it was because I wanted to impress a guy friend who I was secretly crushing on (that's a whole other story, he played with my head). Yes, I was a stupid teenager! I guess that's what I get for going to R rated movies!
