This little bar brings me more joy than...I'm not sure actually...but they are so good that if I can't take them with me to the next life then I'm not going. ;) They are Nanaimo Bars and originally came from Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. Growing up, everytime we would visit my great aunt Annie in Canada she would make these for us. I have the recipe but have yet to make them correctly. Somehow the chocolate part on top is never enough.
Everytime we go on a visit to my family north of Seattle, we go to the local grocery store where they make them and buy atleast a dozen or so. This time we bought a dozen while we were there and then another dozen to take home.
Anyway, take my word for it, they are a little bit of heaven and oh so good! Someday soon I'm going to try the recipe again!

That does look yummy...are you going to share one with me?!
What else is in it? Is that creme middle? Marshmallow. Come on you can't leave out the details. Glad yo are enjoying!
That wasn't very nice. I have a major sweet tooth right now, and we have absolutely nothing in our house with sugar in it, except a bag of sugar. Those do look really good!
Those look really good. I looked at a recipe, but it was too intense for me. I'm a one layer kind of gal.
I can't remember exactly what is in the middle, but I do know that it has powdered sugar in it. I believe the bottom has coconut and maybe graham cracker crumbs. Other than that I don't remember!
Will you share the recipe with me and I will try to make them.....
