It's finally over!

After a painful mastectomy, 8 chemotherapy treatments, countless days of being sick, numerous doctor appointments, 25 radiation treatments and losing a friend to breast cancer, my mom is finally finished with her cancer treatments! It's been a very long road, but she had her last treatment yesterday and is hopefully cancer free. She still has a bone scan, an MRI, a few more doctor appointments and reconstructive surgery in a few months, but we are all hopeful that her days of cancer are over.

I was actually just thinking about your mom the other day (not that I know her, but she crossed my mind). I'm glad you put that update on. And I'm very happy to hear hopefully the worst is over. What a trooper! I can't imagine. Congratulations!
