We went to Lagoon last night and Kenadie wanted to ride the "Odysea" ride with me. It's one of my favorite rides too so I was happy to go on it with her. She wanted me to control the up and down movement of the ride, so I did and I made sure we got wet at every chance possible from the dolphins and whales spitting water at us. I got a lot more wet than she did since I was on the outside, but apparently Kenadie tried to duck to the side to avoid getting wet and the first time she did it, she slammed her face into the side of the ride. The funny thing is, she never even made a peep when it happened and after it was over she said "You made me hit my face!" Once I saw the big bump and purple bruise that was already forming, I felt horrible. Hopefully she can forgive me and hopefully it won't hurt too much longer.

Ouch!! That looks like it hurt! I don't think it merits a bad mom award...:)
Do you have season passes to Lagoon or did you go for any fun reason??!?! Let us know if you go again, we would love to make it a neighborhood party day, since I know there are quite a few of us around here with season passes!
That picture looks like a mug shot. I know that is not really what happened, its a great story for the authorities but you can tell me the truth off the record. Just giving you a hard time. You are a great mom - at least you take your daughters out of the house =)

Word to the wise, don't ride Odysea. I can't stand that ride and the cheesy music. After waiting in line and hearing it about 10 times, I am ready for the ride to be over before I even get on.

Bummer about her eye! :( My kids LOVED that ride.
Unless you purposely caused the black eye,then there is no "bad mom" award for you!
