36 weeks

I finally made it to 36 weeks! I had an appointment today with all the typical pre-natal check-up stuff. My doctor felt her from the outside and said he thought she was head down. Then he checked my cervix and I am 2 centimeters dialated, which is good...BUT, then he made a face and said "I don't think she's head down." He took me to the ultrasound room to confirm that she is, in fact, breech. Great. Kenadie and Kamryn were both head down for a long time so I've never had to deal with this before. I have another appointment a week from today and if she hasn't turned on her own we are going to try a "version" on Wednesday. For those of you who don't know what that is, I will be checked in to labor and delivery and my doctor will try to turn the baby from the outside. Obviously we are hoping that she'll decide to be a good girl and turn on her own so we would appreciate your prayers in our behalf. I have such easy and short labors that a c-section hasn't ever crossed my mind so I'm in a bit of shock/disbelief at the moment. My doctor did say that if she doesn't turn and stays where she is, a version should be successful because her body is at a diagonal right now, with her head on the upper right and her legs on the lower left. So, we're trying to be positive and just have to wait and see what happens next week.

Katie, I'm so sorry! That sounds terrible. I feel the same way about C-Sections. Never had one, don't want one, and don't even like thinking about it. I hope things work out the way we want them too. Good luck! We'll be thinking about you.

I am soo sorry. Becca did the same thing. This is going to sound silly, but my doctor had me do it with becca and it worked. Take some books and stack them, about 6-12 inches. Put a pillow on top and then lie with your bum on the pillow. It is suppoed to relieve the pressure and help them turn. Like I said, It worked with Becca.

I know I already talked to you about your breech stuff,(I'm praying like crazy she cooperates for you) but I just wanted to comment on your little stick figures at the top. I'm a little slow and I just noticed them. HILARIOUS!!! They match each one of you so perfectly. So cute, and so funny! Love it!

Oh Geez... I hope everything "turns" out okay. It's not like you can put her in time-out until she cooperates! I'll be thinking of you!
