Dinnertime Funny and Flooring

We had a crazy busy night, so we decided to get KFC for dinner. After we brought it home, we set the table, said a prayer and Chris started getting the chicken out of the bucket. He asked Kenadie if she wanted a leg, to which she replied, "Is there an arm?" Chris chuckled and said, "You mean a wing?" and she said yes. I thought that was pretty darn funny and it still makes me laugh thinking about it.

We are redoing the floor in our entry, kitchen, dining and music rooms. Ideally, we would like Travertine, but that would cost way more than we are willing to spend. So, we have decided to do laminate hardwood floors with an upgraded pad that would lessen the noise. Whenever we ask opinions on this type of flooring, we get mixed reviews. Some rave about it while others hate it. I'm not sure what to think. I think tile would be harder to clean and colder on your feet. Not to mention the fact that we have young children and I can only imagine the sound of heads cracking after hitting a stone floor. Anyway, Allman's Carpet is coming to measure our area tomorrow and I guess the price of everything will depend on what we do!

I think the flooring is a great idea. That's what I want to do in my whole upstairs.

You've already heard my opinion. I think what your thinking will look awesome! Don't let others opinions talk you out of what you want. It's your house, do what you like!

I want to see samples...I love my floor. I think it is all about the color you pick. I always get compliments on our floor, and they think it is hardwood, but easier to take care of! It will look good no matter what, and you will love not having carpet in your entry!! Can't wait to see what it looks like when it is done! (ANd Melissa is right, only YOU have to like it, no one else!)

good luck, changes to the home can be hard because you want to make a good decision/investment so that it will last for a long time and you'll love looking at it every day. I had a dream last night that we got all new carpet and tile in our house, weird. can't wait to see the changes.
