On Tuesday I turned the big 2-8, just a year ahead of Jana Banana who turned 27 the same day. (The picture above is my dessert at the Cheesecake Factory.) Lucky for me. Birthday's don't really mean anything anymore and I'm dreading turning...dare I say it...thirty, in a few years. I don't feel 28, I feel more like a 17 year old with two kids, a husband and a mortgage. Now that I'm passed the important birthdays, 16 and 21, it doesn't feel as exciting. Obviously 16 was exciting because I got to drive and had my own car. I always said that when I turned 21 I was going to buy alcohol just because I could. Well, when my 21st birthday came I was pregnant with Kenadie and there's just something really wrong with a pregnant lady buying beer. I could just buy the beer now and give it to my brother, but where's the fun in that?
It's a good thing I have such awesome neighbors/friends to celebrate with me. Here we are at Good Things Utah. If you want to see us on TV, you'll have to check out Jana's blog since Ike posted a video on it.
I'm off now to go ride my motorcycle and try to keep some of my youth. There's just something about the wind blowing by you without a windshield to get in the way.
