Yesterday was Kenadie's first day of 1st Grade and it was so sad for me, but fun for her! She loves eating lunch at school in the lunch room and having two recesses! I am going to have to get used to being lonely during the day since she is gone for seven hours, but it's a good chance for Kamryn and I to spend some one-on-one time together. Having Kenadie in school full-time now has made me realize how special and important the first few years of life are because by the time she gets home from school, it's only five short hours until bedtime. Five hours sounds like a lot, but once you do homework, practice piano and have dinner, there's not much time left to play together.

So far she likes everything about school and I am still trying to adjust, but yesterday was early-out and today I had a cyst removed from my eye and Chris was home half a day so I haven't had a "real" day with just Kamryn and me. We'll see how it goes tomorrow!

Wa hoo! First day of school pictures. Finally. I've been dying over here without them. I love her outfit, excellent choice. Hope you are surviving.
Um...first day of school in July?
Yes Carrot, we have school in July here. Too bad it couldn't be as fun as Christmas in July! We are in a year-round school so this year we switched tracks and only got a 3 week Summer (see previous blog post).
